Work Experience, for the next week [29/6/08]
Hi
everyone, for the next week or so I will be on work experience in
Edinburgh at animation company Ko Lik Films. The placement only lasts a
week but i plan to learn lots in that time and take in lots of info.
Also from now on i will be equiping the rabbits from Rabbit Rule with
armatures and tie downs, as i have discovered how easy it is with them,
why not give it a try?

has now been released and issue 2 has been uploaded to the issues pages (only available for subscirbers) why not subscribe?
Ads on the website! [28/3/08]
As
you may have noticed, we have added google ads to the website homepage
and other pages. This is because we are trying to raise money for
Rabbit Rule: A Space Odyssey and Red Tribe Blue Tribe. We are also
trying to raise money to make better tutorials and how to's (content
basically) for Arnymate Monthly, and maybe a competition later in the
year.

Stop Motion Pro [17/3/08]
Stop
Motion Pro is sponsoring animator Ryan
Metcalfe
from Arnymate Animations. Ryan has launched a brand
new web based
magazine (Arnymate Monthly) for stop motion animators everywhere. The
monthly magazine which is being written and compiled by Ryan Metcalfe,
will be a concise and detailed look into the world of stop motion
animation from the eyes of the amateur animator. It includes tutorials,
useful links, interesting articles and news from all over the animation
world.
The
magazine was first released on the 29th of February this year and
has so far generated a lot of interest from animators young and old.
It’s sponsor Stop Motion Pro, has helped it get from
production to
distribution and the V.6 of stop motion pro will be included in a great
number of tutorials.
Ryan
comments “We have many hopes for the magazine, including
maybe one
day getting articles from major studio’s like Aardman and
Cosgrove
Hall. We also have plans to create lots of tutorials on the subject of
puppet making, post production and distribution not just filming and
have purposely made it so that literally anyone can buy the magazine
without having to pay a major price”.
The magazine is available from Ryan’s website (arnymate.co.uk) via subscription
of approx. £3 (around $6 US) to receive twelve of the monthly
issue’s.
About Ryan
Ryan Metcalfe started out in the animation world in 2003 after watching
video’s on the subject and receiving the book
“Cracking Animation” from
a member of his family. He originally started out filming with a normal
digital still camera owned by his dad and compiled the films in a slow
and unreliable computer system. But by the year 2005 he compiled a
massive collection of books and DVD’s on the subject either
kindly
donated by family or given to him as birthday gifts. All of these
factors led on to him setting up and designing his website
Arnymate.co.uk where he showcased all of his works, in 2007 however he
invested in Stop Motion Pro junior which gave him the keys and the
capabilities to get a good work into stop motion. From then he has won
“Creation Of The Month” on the Wallace and Gromit
website and taken
part in the Co-op Young Film Makers Film Festival.

The
arnymate Forums are now online, they include sections on tutorials,
film making, Rabbit Rule, Arnymate News and Arnymate monthly.
Anyone can join so long as you stay within our rules of conduct (Rules of

It
has been announced
today that arnymate will be launching a new web based
monthly magazine. The magazine will be available online via
the
arnymate products pages from march of this year (hopefully). It will
include updates on the rabbit rule films, animation how to's (written
by other animators as well so if you would like to help please email
mail@arnymate.co.uk) behind the scenes stuff, animator interviews and
much more.
It will cost around 25p per month (thats about
50cents in
us dollars) and you will be able to purchase it online via our paypal
acount. Once you have bought it we will send it to you via email where
you can view our magazine pages as image files or a zipper folder
containing the images.(we
will try and get it as a PDF sometime in the near future!).

Arnymate to make two
Rabbit Rule films [29/1/08]
It
has
been announced this month that arnymate is to make two Rabbit Rule
films. This announcement is prior to the start of filming on the first
Rabbit Rule film (Rabbit Rule: A Space Odyssey).
The other film will be called Rabbit Rule:
Atlantis and will follow on
from the first but will hopefully have a bigger budget compared to the
other film. It is also comfirmed that Arnymate will not be making
anymore rabbit rule films after the second one.
Arnymate wins
october creation of the month award!

Arnymate
has been
announced as creation of the month for october 2007 via the Wallace and
Gromit website. the winner was anounced in September and it turned out
to be our film "Bunny Bonanza". Our prize was a Wallace and
Gromit film cell, a personalised and signed Aardman certificate, a DVD
of the film, a Wallace and Gromit annual and a kind letter from the
aardman crew.......Thanks Aardman!
